Scottish artist Craig Campbell has gained a highly sought after reputation over recent years for his very personal Tam O'Shanter paintings. Growing up in Alloway, the famous Burns poem is a subject close to his heart. 

He hit the national headlines when his painting depicting the witches and warlocks dancing in the Auld Kirk included Alex Salmond as the devil and Nicola Sturgeon as the Cutty Sark with other various personalities from the world of politics and showbiz included as well. The £12,000 painting was snapped up immediately after it was unveiled at Craig's exhibition celebrating the bard's poem.

This painting depicts Tam in his local tavern getting drunk with his Cronies while his wife waits for him to get home.
