One of the biggest benefits of using SliderStock is that in addition to the charity itself using it, it can also be used by companies supporting the charity.

Earlier this year, Cure Leukaemia demonstrated this as part of their Tour de France campaign. Their goal was to raise as much money as possible through the campaign, and they also wanted their corporate supporters to join in.

In addition to being an auction facility, SliderStock has the function for running online raffles as well. One of their corporate supporters, supermarket chain Booths, took advantage of this and ran an internal staff raffle.

Head of Sport Events at Cure Leukaemia, Joe White explains, “The SliderStock platform enables Cure Leukaemia to run online auctions and raffles, that are personalised and branded to specific events and campaigns. As a charity which runs a wide range of campaigns each year with just five full-time members of staff, it’s simple to use and allows us great flexibility in running online fundraising for both community and corporate partners.”

The ’Tour O’Booths prize draw’, included prizes donated from their suppliers ranging from a prosecco afternoon tea for four people, to food vouchers, and the tickets only cost £2 to take part. Staff at Booths embraced the opportunity, and 782 tickets were purchased raising a lot of money for the charity, but also involving all the staff in a great campaign.

It was a brilliant way of involving a corporate supporter, with minimal support needed from the charity themselves. As Joe added, “As well as the campaigns we run ourselves, the platform also offers a speedy, safe and reliable service for our supporters too. Running auctions and raffles for supporters can often be a timely and difficult, but the SliderStock platform allows supporters to run their own fundraising through its services – meaning they don’t have to worry about collecting donations/payments, as these come in directly to the charity.”

Director at SliderStock, Will Ferguson said, “This campaign demonstrated how charities can use the platform to run campaigns for/on behalf of their third-party supporters – still ensuring that the funds are transferred directly into the charity’s account which is connected to the platform. Cure Leukaemia have the Unlimited subscription, which means they could theoretically run 1000 of these campaigns in a year, and not pay any more than the original subscription amounts.”
